Summer Boot Camp Trainings

Emerge Colorado is proud to announce our 2019 summer training opportunities! We'll be running two 1-day trainings and a summer boot camp specifically to support rural Coloradan women

Emerge Colorado is excited to announce that this summer we are partnering with WIN Colorado to host two 1-day trainings and one 3-day training for rural Colorado women on how to run for office.

We are the state’s premier recruitment and training program for Democratic women interested in pursuing elected office. We have 300 alumnae across the state with 16 alumnae in the state capitol, over 45 elected women serving in 2019, and an overall win-rate of 88%.

3-Day Boot Camp Training:

Emerge Colorado is hosting a boot camp training, cosponsored by WIN Colorado, this July 26-28 in Grand Junction. This will be an intensive boot camp on preparing to run for office and best suited to women who are planning to run within the next three years. However, all women interested in running for office should still apply.

The program will focus on campaign plan development, field planning, fundraising, communications, and public speaking trainings. It will require participants to pay tuition and participate in a short application process. Once you attend an Emerge Colorado boot camp you have access to our alumnae, staff, and board for ongoing mentorship and support. You must be a registered Democrat and self-identified woman to apply.

Those interested in the 3-day program should read and fill out this online application form.

1-day Trainings:

Hosted by WIN Colorado these trainings are free and will include a half-day training from Emerge Colorado on preparing to run, how to choose the right race for you, and things to start doing now to get ready. Childcare and lunch will be provided, and Spanish language materials will be available. These trainings are open to progressive women and non binary people, and you do not need to be a registered Democrat to attend.
