The Emerge Southwestern Boot Camp training program is a unique opportunity for Democratic women who want to run for public office, learn to run campaigns, or are current 2021-2022 candidates for elected office. Our boot camp is a specially designed and fully remote 30-hour training program that inspires candidates to run and gives them the tools to win. Run by our national partners for women in southwestern states, the curriculum is tried and true with amazing results. In Colorado, 88% of our alumnae candidates that run – win!
As a program member, you will be exposed to a variety of campaign and election experts and meet an array of dynamic women who hold elected and appointed office. Through Emerge, you are given specific opportunities to expand your political network. As an Emerge graduate, you become a part of a supportive network across Colorado and the country that’s over 5,000 women strong.
Emerge Colorado has trained over 450 women across the state since 2012. And of our alumnae, 45% are women of color, 30% are LGBTQ, and 30% are union members.
The boot camp will take place over a one-week period in June and will be fully-remote. Program hours will include two full weekends and two weeknights. The dates are June 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, and 13th. Hours will generally be 8:30am – 3:30pm on Saturdays, 12pm – 5pm on Sundays, and 6:30pm – 8:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
