Bootcamp Training

2023 Bootcamps

Educator Bootcamp: February 3 – 5 (Application Deadline December 31)
School board races have become the new political battleground for culture wars. Democratic values are increasingly coming under attack, including attempts to dismantle the teaching of inclusive history, denying LGBTQAI2S+ recognition for their identities, and prohibiting the ability of transgender students to participate on sports teams that match with their gender identity.

Educators have been on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic and debates about curriculum, and yet they are greatly under-represented as policymakers on school and education commissions.

Working with the Colorado Education Association, American Federation of Teachers, and education leaders across the state, Emerge Colorado is hosting our first-ever Educators Bootcamp the weekend of February 3 – 5. There will be both in-person and online options.

We will train teachers and educational allies to run for office at every level of government. Topics include messaging an education platform, engaging with education policy experts, and the nuts and bolts of running a campaign.

Applications are now open, so apply today!

Grand Junction Bootcamp: July 13 – 16
